JD2E was founded to deliver intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) and sensor training to air forces and law enforcement agencies around the world. As ISR aircraft and sensors become more affordable and widespread, countries are quickly becoming aware of the need for operator training to realise the potential of the asset. JD2E has delivered sensor operator and mission commander training to a number of international customers and is pleased to be the provider of advanced ISR training to the UK’s Royal Air Force ISR aircrew.
Using a blended learning approach of classroom training, simulation and practical exercises, JD2E is able to train the whole spectrum of sensor and crew operation, from individual sensor knowledge to communications, tactical control, crew resource management and human factors, in dynamic, carefully choreographed and immersive training courses. From Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) in a maritime patrol aircraft to overland operations using SAR and EO/IR in an unmanned aircraft’s GCS, our modular training can be designed to match your needs.
Training can be delivered in our training academy and ISR simulation centre in Lincolnshire, UK, near the ISR hub of RAF Waddington and close to main travel links, or instructors and equipment can be temporarily deployed to deliver training anywhere in the world.
In 2017, the company expanded its product range to include the development of simulation and virtual reality applications to support the delivery of the training courses.
Following this diversification, demand and interest for bespoke VR and simulation solutions for other organisations grew exponentially from all industry areas as the cost-benefits were quickly realised. The “Serious Gaming” and “Virtual Reality & Augmented Reality (VR/AR)” development for customers has grown to become a major service and product range, alongside the ISR training courses.
